Gorge Crest Vineyards Wedding | M+ J

You know what we love? Showing off our insanely beautiful Pacific Northwest! What better way than by hosting a wedding at the breathtaking  Gorge Crest Vineyards ?

Rewind to a couple of years ago (I know, we are majorly back-logged with blogging), when a sweet couple from Kansas reached out to us in hopes of getting their wedding planning process going ASAP. Having never been to the PNW, our word was golden and they really wanted to show their out of town wedding guests the beauty that we know and love. A top priority of our out of town couples is showing off the amazing nature (we’ve been really lucky in this sense). The Columbia River Gorge is a special little pocket in the NW that draws people from all over the world – can you blame them? The views are jaw-dropping, the people are so friendly, the air is crisp and fresh, and there are always adventures to be found… an outdoor enthusiasts Disneyland.

The planning process with Margaret and Jeff was very quick – we talked through initial venues and they decided on  Gorge Crest Vineyards almost immediately….sight unseen! Mt.Hood in her majestic glory sits front and center at this venue – it feels as if you could reach out and touch her.

Once their wedding venue was booked, sourcing the rest of their vendors was easy and it felt as if all of the puzzle pieces naturally fell in to place seamlessly and quickly.

Their incredible vendor team really brought their classic/timeless wedding vision to life….. and on one of the hottest days! Thankfully, Margaret, Jeff, their friends, and our team were easy going as an overturned semi truck caused a traffic nightmare, delaying the start of their wedding until their guests could finally arrive. They utilized the extra pre-wedding time to take additional portraits and enjoyed the view with their bridal party. We had to juggle some things around due to timing limitations but we were able to adjust and make things work without causing too much of a hiccup for the guests. Things happen and we’ve found that when you roll with it, everyone else will as well… making it feel intentional and extra unique.

Our favorite details from this wedding were the custom acrylic name tags for each guest, the amazing view, their gorgeous wedding cake, and the “fun facts” cocktail napkins with witty facts about the couple.

This beautiful and fun wedding was one for the books – and as always, we loved working with Christy Cassano!
