About Shauna

Born and raised in Portland, my favorite days are spent on the river under the cottonwood trees.  I love that Portland and Oregon have so many breathtakingly beautiful views - truly hidden gems.  My greatest joy is sharing these hidden gems with our couples and marrying their personalities and styles with the beautiful Northwest.

With a background in corporate events as well as helping friends plan their weddings, planning my own wedding was a breeze.  It was with that ease that I decided the time was right to turn my passion into a full-time business of making dream events come true.

My husband and I live in Northern California with our little boy, Reece and our golden retriver. Our location is remote and I often travel to Oregon and spend long stretches with family and friends.

When not day dreaming about fun weddings or events, I enjoy being outdoors, wine tasting, house projects, new restaraunts, and spending quality time with loved ones.

With a passion for design and styling, I find great joy in helping clients plan their special event. My goal is to help you achieve the look and feel that you desire and to help you “put it all together."

For over 15 years I have designed, styled and developed events, products and interiors. Being in this industry is truly part of who I am. Some of my most favorite things are to-do lists {and checking themoff}, trend research, unique design, and all things pretty.

Originally from the Southeast, I enjoy mixing some Southern charm with the beauty of the Pacific NW. In my free time, you can find me on a road-trip with my family, at the farmer’s market or scouting out new must-try places to eat.

I'm a big believer that events can create magic, and there is nothing more special than bringing people together for a wedding. I am grateful for every event I am able to be part of, and it is my joy to help bring a bit of magic into the world.

Growing up in Portland, my teenage diaries were filled with timelines, layouts, and catering quotes for formal parties for my friends. I've been in the event industry ever since helping non-profits raise millions to serve children and families, and coordinating gorgeous weddings with the team at J29 Events. It's my greatest joy to see details big and small come together to create one of a kind experiences.

When not journaling about room schematics and tablescapes, you'll find me with my boyfriend and I's border collie trying to convince her that she doesn't need to eat our charcuterie plate or chew her bone while I'm trying to watch The Bachelor. I'm always in search of good food, a glass of red wine, and the next undiscovered lake hike. I love living in the Pacific NW with such creative people and gorgeous surroundings.

Born and raised in Chico, California, I’m a recent transplant to Portland. I met Shauna while living in Northern California and hired her to plan my own destination wedding in Portland last year. We became fast friends and bonded over working in the same industry in the same town.

As the former head of catering and sales for a large hotel, I’ve spent the last few years working with large corporate accounts as well as couples planning their weddings. I love bringing your vision to life and tackling the little details.

My new husband and I love being “foodies,” tackling DIY projects, and spoiling our nephew.

Sine I was a little girl I've always had a love for all things event and design related. From planning elaborate birthday parties with my mom to lending a helping hand in my friend's weddings and everything in between, I've always had a knack for events.

A Portland native, I journeyed down south to college and obtained my public relations degree from the University of Oregon. While getting my degree, I found myself gravitating to helping plan events in any way that I could. Once I graduated and moved back home, I wanted to continue my love for events and dive head first into the wedding world. I'm so excited to work with the J29 team and bring your most magical dreams to life!

When I am not heloing with your special day, you can find me spending time wine tasting, hiking around the PNW or fueling my caffeine addiction at a local coffee shop.

I've always loved creating great experiences. I'm a planner in all aspects of my life, extremely organized, and dedicated to making events as flawless and beautiful as can be.
I'm originally from Los Angeles, but made my way to the University of Oregon where I earned a degree in public relations. During my time in college, I fell in love with the PNW and moved to Portland after graduating where I now live with my husband and two cats.
My career has be in corporate and office events, but when I started planning my own wedding, I quickly realized that I wanted to try my hand in the wedding world. I'm excited to be working alongside such a creative and fun team at J29 and I'm grateful to be part of so many beautiful events.
When I'm not planning and creating, you can find me binge watching Friends, trying new restaurants, and exploring all that the PNW has to offer.

A Florida native, I’ve lived in Northern California for five years and have had the opportunity to work with J29 Events for the past two years. I love working with new vendors and managing the logistics of the day all while keeping things pretty and picture perfect.
I love living on the Northern California coast where nature is bountiful and adventures are endless. You can usually find me at Brio Cafe where I’m a regular or at the animal shelter trying to convince my boyfriend that we need one more furry friend.
